The watercolors from the "Cotman" series by Winsor & Newton are specially designed for educational purposes, although their high quality makes them suitable for both students and beginners as well as professional artists.
In the "Cotman" series, some of the more expensive metallic dye pigments have been replaced with alternative, high-quality organic pigments. The resulting watercolors (indicated with the word "Hue" on the label) again have brilliant, clear, and pure colors, with high transparency, slight spread, and color fastness, while their excellent coverage allows individual colors to mix well with each other.
The color range of the individual "Cotman" watercolors from W&N consists of 40 colors, which are available in 8 ml tubes.
