Permanent Magenta is less purple than Quinacridone Magenta and slightly leans towards blue. It is based on the Quinacridone pigment, introduced in the 1950s, which is characterized by high tinting strength and strong coloring power. When mixed with Ultramarine Blue, it creates rich and deep violet shades.
