Permanent Alizarin Crimson is a highly transparent pigment with a blue undertone that creates a bright red color. It is important to note that due to a change in the pigment, there may be two different formulations of the product in circulation. The pigment PR206 is being phased out and replaced with PR179. PR179 provides a color that technically cannot be closer to the original, but is not completely identical.
