Poliments are used to adhere gold leaf to the bases for gilding.
The gilding poliment from the Italian company "Maimeri" is ideal for restoration and finishing work on icons. It is a ready-to-use thick, dense mixture of high-quality clay and rabbit glue dissolved in water, and it is applied after being heated in a water bath.
The series includes red and yellow poliment, which are available in glass jars with a capacity of 125 ml.
