CADENCE THICKENING MEDIUM FOR EBRU - DRY TRAGACANTH

Ebru is a technique for painting on a water surface. The resulting drawings are unique and unrepeatable, and for this reason, a painting made with the Ebru technique cannot be replicated.

Tragacanth is a thickening agent that allows paints to remain on the surface of the water. Cadence's dry tragacanth comes in powder form. Usage instructions: prepare 5 liters of drinking water. Gradually add 1 liter of boiled water to it. Use about 1/5 of the package (45 ml) of dry tragacanth. Stir constantly. The container you pour into must always be clean. You can filter with cheesecloth, which will ensure that no lumps get in. While stirring, you will get foam, which you can remove with paper. Let the prepared mixture rest for about 1 hour. If the air temperature is suitable, the tragacanth can be used for 10-15 days; otherwise, it deteriorates in 3-4 days. It is recommended that the mixture be kept at room temperature.
