Slagmetal is used for gilding, silver or copper effect on various surfaces, for decorating icons and decoupage projects on bases such as wood, cardboard, canvas, plastic, clay, metal, etc.

Slagmetal is a fine transfer foil that effectively imitates noble metals such as gold, silver, and copper. The sheets are torn or shaped and adhered to the previously cleaned surface (if the base is porous, it should be pre-treated with a primer). A strong adhesive glue - polymer mixion is applied to the desired base, which is sprinkled with the fine foil and pressed with a soft brush or sponge to ensure it adheres well to the glue. To remove unnecessary and non-adhered protruding parts of the slagmetal, they are rubbed off, resulting in a smooth and even gilded, silvered, or coppered surface.
