The metal leaf is used for gilding, silver or copper effects on various surfaces, for decorating icons and decoupage projects on bases such as wood, cardboard, canvas, plastic, clay, metal, etc.

The metal leaf is a fine transfer foil, effectively imitating noble metals like gold, silver, and copper. The sheets are torn or shaped and glued onto a pre-cleaned surface (if the base is porous, it should be pre-treated with a primer). A highly adhesive glue - polymer medium is applied to the desired base, which is sprinkled with the fine foil and pressed down using a soft brush or sponge to ensure it adheres well to the glue. To remove unnecessary and unglued protruding parts of the metal leaf, they are rubbed off, resulting in a smooth and even gilded, silvered, or coppered surface.
