W & N BULL'S GALL 75 ML.
Bull's gall is a traditionally used additive for watercolor and gouache paints. It serves to ensure a smooth flow of the paints and improves their durability.
The bull's gall for watercolor and tempera from "Winsor & Newton" is transparent white in color and has a sharp, characteristic smell. A few drops of it are mixed with water to dilute the paints, in order to ensure the smoothness of the layers and enhance their durability. It can be used to soften stiff and coarse papers, for which a diluted solution of bull's gall is applied beforehand to the stiff and coarse paper, as it softens its surface after drying and helps improve paint retention on the paper.
The bull's gall intended for watercolor, gouache, and tempera from "Winsor & Newton" is available in a 75 ml bottle.
