ARTS FIBER 35/50
The drawing fiber is used as a base for painting pictures and icons with oil, tempera, and acrylic paints.
The fiber is a natural product obtained under the influence of mechanical friction and technological steam from chips of various types of wood. Binding components are added to the wood that has been processed in this way, and then, through additional hot pressing, the resulting mass is transformed into a solid board made of wood fibers, known as fiber. The special treatment of the fiber allows for an ideally smooth surface without any scratches, and like any wooden base, it is suitable for painting with various paints. To reduce the absorbency of the fiber, prevent the brittleness of the painting, and create a clean and bright base for the colors to stand out, it should be pre-treated with priming. In addition to serving as a base for painting, the fiber can also be used as a support on which to place canvas or drawing paper, thus providing a flat and smooth working area.
The dimensions of the unprimed wooden fiber painting board are 50 x 35 cm.
