The poliment from the Italian company "Giusto Manetti Battiloro", also known as bolo or bolus for gilding, is in the form of clay. It does not contain glue, which is why it must be mixed with rabbit glue dissolved in water before use. It is applied to a flat and perfectly smooth polished surface.
