The poliments are intended for adhering gold leaf to the bases for gilding.
The poliment from the French company "Charbonnel," also known as bolo or bolus for gilding, is in the form of clay. It does not contain glue, which is why it must be mixed with rabbit glue dissolved in water before use. It is applied to a flat and perfectly smooth polished surface.
The series includes red and yellow poliment, which are available in packages with a capacity of 1 kg.
