Mechanical pencils, also known as fountain pencils or automatic pencils, are pencils whose graphite is placed in a wide casing made of metal or plastic material. This way, protection of the graphite from breaking, convenience during use, and durability of the pencils are ensured.
Depending on the softness and thickness of the graphite used for mechanical pencils, manufacturing companies offer replacement materials for their operation. The set of replacement graphite from the Czech company "Koh-I-Noor" contains 12 pieces of black graphite sticks with a thickness of 0.5 mm, softness 2B, and a length of 60 mm.
The standard sizes of the sticks make them suitable for loading not only into "Koh-I-Noor" mechanical pencils but also into fountain pencils from other manufacturers whose tip has an opening of 0.5 mm.
