The Caran d'Ache Luminance 6910 colored pencils are among the most lightfast and permanent colored pencils ever made. With hard graphite and a wide range of colors created from highly concentrated pigments, they are crafted to the highest professional standards. The velvety finish of these pencils is the result of two years of technical research, which also developed the richness of shades and allows for layering, blending, and gradation.
Each pencil consists of a 3.8 mm diameter graphite with an intense concentration of pigments and a creamy texture, housed in an 8-layer round casing that bears the color number, graphite color, and color name. 80 of the 100 colors in the Luminance range achieved the highest distinction (LFI) according to the ASTM D-6901 standard. Each shade is formulated using finely ground pigments selected for their purity, intensity, and UV light resistance.
