The “Sizzix” dies are metal templates designed for cutting shapes from paper, cardboard, metallic foil, and vellum. They are suitable for a variety of projects, including creating albums, cards, boxes, envelopes, invitations, collages, appliqués, photo frames, and more. In addition to these materials, thicker dies can also cut more difficult materials like leather, fabric, and magnetic sheets.
The die is compatible with Sizzix cutting and embossing machines, which use standard cutting pads and the machine's platform. To achieve a perfect result, the die can be passed through the machine up to three times. In addition to cutting, the die can also be used for embossing by combining the machine's platform with a silicone cutting pad. The instructions for the machine describe how to prepare the perfect “sandwich” for cutting.
The set of cutting dies includes a thin die with dimensions ranging from approximately 2.86 x 2.86 cm to 10.8 x 10.8 cm.
