The dry pigments are intended for highlighting the cracks obtained after applying the crackle varnish in step two (two-phase crackle).
The fine dry pigments are mixed with water-based paints and varnishes. They are most commonly used together with the transparent gloss varnish, resulting in striking colors with a glossy shine. Pigments mixed with acrylic products should be used immediately, as they may darken after prolonged exposure to various additives. In addition to highlighting aging cracks in decoupage and decoration, the pigments can be used for painting polymer clay souvenirs, where their application should be done before baking in the oven.
